One of the great little memory gifts from my childhood was living in a town small enough where I could walk to the library at an age where now it would not be considered safe. I'd go straight to the children's book aisle where all of Dr. Seuss books were located. I checked out a few, walked out the door, and went straight to the tree shading part of the building and munched on the mulberries from the tree for 10 minutes or so. To me it was like coming across a candy tree, true booty. I'd stand there picking berries off the tree in my little berry munching zen. After I got sick of stripping the tree of it's fruit I headed home. I never watched where I was going. I'd open up a book and slowly walk as I read. By the time I got home my guess is that I was ready to bring the books back. Having something to read when I got home was never the point though. I can't even remember if I could read yet, which now I think, just means it happened during a point in my life where age and time really meant little to a little boy. Some time before reality crushes you with it's "shoulds". At least I have that memory.

My guess is that you could read. (?) I happen to know your mom and she probably wouldn't have let a preschooler head to the library alone. She walked to school (kindergarten) with you for a week before she let you do it alone... to make sure you knew the way.
I like this memory....it's so very Aaron. Munching berries and not particularly watching where you're going....You were one neat little boy!
Yeah...small towns were great, too.

Thanks for sharing your memory. I can easily imagine this in my mind being big sis and remembering you pretty well as a small boy. :) Love you.

Come to think of it Heather or Adam probably walked you to school until you got the hang of it because of your sleeping baby brother at home.

(BTW - I deleted my comments about trying to see the video)
