The family is finally coming back today. Can't wait to see my beautiful wife and boys again. I thought I'd really enjoy being home alone but I found myself bored and sort of frozen. Frozen, in that there were all sorts of things I should do but couldn't think of anything to do so I just fought with the TV to watch basketball. We have cable right now, but for some reason the CBS station is intermittent.

I did spend the last two Saturdays looking at houses. Apparently Denver natives take no value in having a big yard. So many of the houses in this area have tiny yards. What's crazy is even the newer houses have tiny yards. The whole house search is overwhelming and frustrating, not to mention time consuming.

It snowed about 7 or 8 inches on Thursday and the whole city went nuts. It was amazing. They sent everyone home before noon and closed everything. I thought it was great because then I could go to the gym and it would be empty. It was empty alright because it was closed down. Some co-workers tried to go to movie Thursday night and they went to 5 different movie theaters and they were all closed. The schools were actually closed Friday morning before the snow even started to fall. It should all be melted by today or tomorrow.

I registered for the Komen Columbus Race for the Cure in Columbus. Cherity was good enough to recommend I go to Columbus by myself. It would be nice to have us all go. It's just so expensive to fly 4 people and the hotels and rental cars, etc... So now I'm trying to get some miles under my belt so I can actually enjoy this thing. It's hard though. I've been putting 50-60 hours a week in so I miss out and getting to the gym more than I'd like.

60 hours! I just talked to Lucas and he said he had just worked 60 hours this last week. The Pick guys are not afraid of work!

Pick Sr. just said that HE'S afraid of work :-) but I guess after working steadily as many years as he has it's understandable. He's hoping he makes it to retirement! He will deserve it.
