Well being by myself for the weekend was pretty boring. Fortunately I hooked up with my friend Kyle to watch the Packer game on Saturday which was started to look bad in the beginning but turned out great. On our way back to my hotel Kyle pointed directly toward my building and said that was the building he worked in. I inquired a little further and found out the building he works in is directly next to mine (like 100' feet apart). Crazy.

Anyway, I went to a restaurant and watched the Colts loose and then packed it up and drove to a the Chatfield State Park and went for a short 20 minute run. I came back to the hotel and did some laundry and called Cherity. I got my cell phone fixed (was able to get my hands on a charger that wasn't a generic after market piece of junk) but I used a calling card because our plan doesn't change to cover Colorado until Tuesday. That was my weekend. Exciting eh?

Oh... two things I saw at that state park that I thought were interesting. They had these crows or what looked like crows there but they also patches of white on them and although the winter here is like the midwest's spring, there were people ice fishing in the reservoir. Along the banks of the reservoir there was a post with a large bundle of nylon roped tied to it. The other end of the rope had an old skinny tire tied to it. The sign said it was in case the ice broke. Not a bad idea.

One of the things I remember about Colorado was those big pieces of mesh fencing or something akin to that covering the rocks on the side of the mountain roads. To prevent avalanches...but of course they still happen from time to time.
