Positives. All the free programs. That's amazing. Using the terminal is good practice because I use the prompt at work (Redhat-no gui). I keep coming across more positives as I move along. i.e. gimp, interface eye candy, etc...
Negatives. Getting Macromedia Flash to work with 6.06 is giving me some difficulty. I had trouble with getting my DVD player to work but I found in the Ubuntu forum where using Automatix to update Totem did the trick.
As soon as I get to the point where I can do all I could do on Windows I will be happy and then maybe look in to a 6.10 upgrade.

The Gimp program is really cool! It's like photoshop but free. I haven't used it but I went to www.gimp.org and looked at some of the tutorials.
Very fun. Can't wait to figure it out and play with it.
