I've been living away from my family for two months now but they are moving out with me on Sunday. I'm flying back Friday afternoon and then I'm driving our car, dogs, bikes, clothes and other miscellaneous stuff back to Denver Saturday and Sunday. Cherity and the boys will fly to Denver Sunday and I will pick them up. We'll be living in a 850 sf residence inn when we get in but we're very close to getting a house rental which is really close to where I work and also very close to a state park so that's pretty cool.

As far as killing time goes, I turned my pawn-shop bike in to a single speed (still needs a bit of work but it's doing the job) and took it to some of the trails in the area. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the trails around here. My first impression of Denver was not good because I had mainly only seen what was close to the interstates (malls, restaurants, and other stuff-marts) but you really get to see the city in a different light on the trails. There are so many of them and you can cross much of the city (or at least the parts I've tried riding) without actually riding on any of the roads (almost). There's even underpasses made to go under many of the busier highways/roads. Very cool. Denver is a top 10 city for being bike friendly. Fun little tidbit for you all.

Here's the map for one of my rides.

Here are some pictures from my rides:

The house still hasn't sold. We're probably going to drop the price a little bit to see if that helps.

If I can think of more highlights, I'll let you know. I think I may have some other pictures I can post as well.

Good to hear the family is moving out with you. Sorry about the house...houses suck when it comes time to sell. I think you're smart for renting now. Anyway, I hope you guys are doing well.

things are doing much better now that I'll have the family together. The house were renting is within walkind distance from work so that's cool. I almost wish I could by the house once our house sells but the owner wants to keep it for retirement.
