Got to see my family this weekend. The time was too short. Cherity picked me up in LaCrosse and we spent the weekend in Warren's WI. There's an indoor water park and we celebrated Chad's 30th Birthday. So now it's another two weeks until I see my family. The house is up for sale and there have been a few people who have looked which is surprising but there haven't been any offers.
The strangest thing this weekend actually happened in Chicago. I got off the airplane and heard my name and turned around and there was my brother Adam waiting to get on a plane for Dubuque. He and Desha were heading back from Orlando. That was kinda cool. You get to feeling somewhat lonely out there in the big world and to see someone you know in an unexpected place is a nice change of pace.
I'm reading a book called "Lies My Teacher Told Me" which is interesting. It's all about History and how American History classes leave out all the bad/dirty things that have happened in American History. I also have another book called "A People's History of the United States". I've started reading that one as well. So far they're very very similar. I almost feel like I'm reading the same book. I just finished reading "Into the Wild" which is about a college aged kid who burns all his money (literally) and moves up to Alaska to live off the land. They just made a movie about the kid and I saw my bro-in-law was reading the book and I thought that was a good idea so I bought the book in the airport when I came out here for my interview in December. It was good. Not awesome, just good. I've always had a love for the outdoors and the book fed in to that. That and I've always liked the idea of just taking off somewhere.
And now I'm going to take off for bed.

I read Into the Wild too, will be interesting to see the movie to see how it compares. Glad you got to spend some time with family.
