Rain, Rain, Rain.

It's been raining quite a bit here, and by here I mean Winona. We weren't in Winona when this big rain happened but the Winona area received 10 1/2" of rain from what I've heard on the news. Our lake park is a much bigger lake and the shelter is almost totally under water. It was quite a surprise to us to see parts of town roadblocked off because it was under water. Unfortunately it looks like there are quite of few dwelling places on the west side of town that are under water. It seems a little surreal right now and even though it's close it's still on the other side of town (5 miles away). Also strange, the Mississippi on our end of town isn't really any higher at all but it is definitely much more 0f a muddy brown.

The weekend was actually spent in Luck. The Palmer house was rather hectic with about 7 grandkids running around with Grandparents, Chad, and I watching them as Cherity and Robin went to Jackie's Shower/Bachelorette party.

I haven't posted much lately due to a killer cold/flu I had this last week that I am finally getting over. I missed a day of work on Wednesday and should have take Thursday off too but managed to sit in my cubicle and sweat some of the flu out. So needless to say there haven't been any bike rides to post about, although I did fish on Tuesday night with Ken and ended up catching nothing but my body wasn't too happy with me. I kid feel my body starting to fall apart as I sat in the canoe. But, like I said... feeling much better now.
