The T.V. news people are gone...

... and I can now say that I know for sure I'm not T.V. material. Cherity did a great job.

The folks from the Lacrosse channel 19 news came to our house to interview us about Seb's accident for the Children's Miracle Network telethon. Cherity did very well and could think of things to say... me... not so much. They interviewed Owen but he did about as well as I did (one word or very short answers with little or no embellishment). The CMN gave us meal vouchers when we were at the hospital and actually offer a lot other benefits for parents with children that have children that spend extended periods of time in the hospital.

The whole thing was more anxiety filling than anything. The equipment, the canned questions, and so on. Very uncomfortable. It's funny that Heather does that type of thing all the time. I suppose I'd feel different about it if I was comfortable from having past experience. You can't be a man of few words though.

I don't know when the footage will air. Sometime before June 2nd which is the date of the telethon. I'll have to see if I can get a copy of the video and if I'm lucky enough to figure it out, I'll post it.

Is Sebastian on that billboard? You have to post it if he is.

I'm just glad the little guy is ok. It was a nervous time for my family. I know we hugged our kids a little harder each night and Tate is still afraid of crossing a street (most of the time). We're just so happy Sebby made a full recovery! Also, I love the new mast head!

I have to admit I stole the masthead idea from Cherity. I wasn't aware that it was an available option with the header page element until Cherity came upon it. I put a picture up there before but did it the round about way by playing with the code. I didn't realize how easy it is now. Just have to get the pixel size right. I took that picture just before we decided to high-tail it out of the woods because ticks started to appear on the boys legs. Yikes! They're bad this year!

Hey!

I'm sure you did well... you don't have to say a lot to tell a story.

The reporter you talked with e-mailed me... haven't had a chance to reply yet. But she said she's from Ohio.

Can't wait to see the story (I think I told you I am doing the telethon in the Columbus area that weekend....)

I also love the new format for your website - the header is great (I guess everyone is calling it a "masthead")

Love you guys!
Heather.

I'm not sure about when the billboard will be up, but there was a "Sebastian Pick" profile flyer promoting CMN. I'll post that shortly.

Heather, I don't know much about the lady who came to interview us, except that her name is Molly and I thought she moved from the Sioux Falls orSioux City area this last winter...? The cameraman said he thought the LaCrosse station was owned by the same company that owns the Rockford station. He was familiar with the call letters.
