O.K. This is where we disagree. I don't like legalism either, and I've experienced it, but on these clicks it's like you can't have any personal convictions or you're legalistic. They've gone overboard.
The click about Bush I'm just plain tired of. (No personal offense intended- you Know that)
I may have mentioned that some time ago I heard Bush answer a question of "Who has influenced you most in your life?" and without a hesitation he said "Jesus". Know my reaction? Sorry to say I thought "Oh no!" and it made my blood run cold because I knew he was doomed to criticizm run amuck. (I was a coward.)
Lots of people didn't hear that interview but they caught the train of criticism evenutally.
The best loved president would be one who kept us out of war no matter what --- and left that job for one of the next presidents down the line. There's no way of always avoiding war in this world.
All of us Hate war! Terrorist struck us 12 times before we ended up in war. (3 embassies, 1 marine barracks, USS Cole, World Trade the 1st time and 9/11...and we all know there were 4 (1 of them foiled) strikes just on 9/11 alone which would make that really 11-12 strikes!) Freedom isn't free even though we'd like to think that if we're just good and loving - everyone will love us back. Doesn't work that way.

You know, that article wasn't about George Bush.

Personally I thought it was a spoof on how absurd it is to guess at who the Anti-Christ might be and also there were... what? 10..Maybe 15? people mentioned across the board. The whole thing is a joke. I wouldn't care if it was McCain, Clinton, Edwards, or Billy Graham... because I didn't take any of it seriously.

As for War in the middle east and the Bush administration's choice to invade Iraq... we'll have to agree to disagree. I disagreed with it when it started, and I disagree with it now even when the reasons that did exist for the action seem less and less and the opportunity's for the existing administration seem apparently more and more...

Sorry, Don't mean to get your dander up and I of course respect your opinion no matter how much I disagree, mainly because I understand your logic. Although I think you want to believe Pres. Bush is more benign than I do... and he well may be, but I don't think a lot of his policies are at all.

Having said all that I have no real interest in arguing this point. I have no interest in replying any further, but totally encourage you to comment if you like.

I'm not interested in being a Bush basher but I have no love lost for our current administration as I don't agree with a lot of things including issues outside of "the war issue".

I definitely could be wrong and probably am on certain issues... but I do the best I can with what I can see and I'm not ignorant of the facts but do appreciate your pointing out a few of the glaring ones.

Oh man Aaron, I clicked on jp's link (is that Mom?), and was really hit hard with her post regarding her testimony. Really, really thoughtful and made me teary eyed and feel a little empty inside too. It's amazing how you can really reach people through these things.

p.s. Just wanted to clarify, didn't mean "empty" in a bad way, just in that I need to do some filling up it seems.
