Remains of the weekend

We have half a coat left. Sebastian, even in total pain, was pretty peeved about the coat. He was crying for the ambulance folks not to cut his coat. (It was a new coat that he had just received). That whole scene will always be a nightmare in my mind. We've gotten a few coats since then from people which we are very thankful for. My brother-in-law looked up the weight of a single axle of Hybrid car. (1000 lbs per). How bout that for miracles!

Good thing coats are replaceable...

Thanks for the updates - hopefully some of these new memories of him home can quickly replace the ones created about a week ago...

love,

From the "in case you're curious" file -- Found this online: (2004) Toyota Prius: 2,890 pounds, the Prius' weight is about average for a car of this class.

Then plus there is the weight of the person in the car!
I hope she is doing O.K. This had to be a nightmare for her, too.

Going home is always good news.

Seb is a pretty resilient kid.

Cherity was also very concerned about the lady driving the car. The lady was a grandmother picking up, I believe, her grandaughter. Cherity gave her a hug before we even left for the hospital and called her back while we were at the hospital over the weekend and talked to her for about a half an hour and told her how Sebastian was doing. The lady sent Sebby a large Teddy bear with a nice card.

Cherity's reaction to the grandmother was one huge way of showing the light of Jesus to her. Wow. It's crazy the way we make connections sometimes.

Love always,
