It's 5 am and I'm getting ready for work because I volunteered to take the early shift from a vacationing co-worker so I could get out of town earlier to head up to Bell Plaine to celebrate turkey gorging and thankfullness. It'll be good to see everyone. It'll be a busy day. Gotta stop by the bank for a pow wow and also drop Molly off @ the kenel in Wabasha, MN.
I'm hoping Cherity packs my running clothes (I'll have to remind her). I've run 3 of the last 4 days with Molly. I think Molly's getting the hang of it because she trotted right next to me as I ran last night. It's probably too early to start logging miles but I ran about 25-30 minutes on my first run on Saturday, 15 minutes on Sunday and 25 minutes last night. All totalled together for a measley 9 miles. My quads were burning on Monday, but the run last night felt pretty good. No knee problems. It'd be nice to get back in to a groove. And on the excercise note I've been looking at new bicycles on line. I'm using a nice loaner hybrid from my brother in law. I've had my eyes on what they call a cyclocross bike which is essentially a little more manly version of a road bike i.e. wider front fork, more stable, tires are skinny but have more tread, geomotry allows you to take it off road... Also like it cause I could put slick tires on the bike and go on rides (theoretically) with some of the local biking groups on a weekend or weekday ride. Like I said, all theoretical.
Off to work.
