I finished my work stuff this morning before we had to get going for church this morning but both boys have and have had runny noses and coughs. Due to this, we are missing church. We don't want the boys speading there germs to the other children.
Yesterday I had to work until 2 P.M.ish. On my walk home I realized that it is "purple-shirt day" other wise known as "Winona State University Homecoming" weekend. I had two interactions with groups of drunk college kids on my way home. One was from a guy who appeared incredibly intoxicated and who's girlfriend was walking him home. He swore at me or towards me, I should say, because he couldn't focus his eyes on me and had trouble facing any direction as he meandered along the sidewalk. The other was a bunch of purple-shirted girls. I had a plastic pepsi bottle in my hand and one of the girls had a plastic diet coke bottle in her hand. She, of course, said cheers and lifted her bottle to me. I played along and said cheers and then kept walking. One of the other girls yelled "Is that just coke in your bottle?!" I said yes and she then advised that I should have something else in there too, infering alcohol. I kept walking. I then went home and took the boys to the park and flew a kite with them. After about 15 minutes I got paged which is alway irritating but I was able to deal with that without leaving the park and the boys and I went to the lake and watched people feed the ducks with bread and we wrote our names in the sand and we then went back and played on the jungle gyms and slides.
Owen wanted us to all go for a bikeride but I realized that's no longer possible until I get another bike. I might take them on Cherity's bike with the bike trailer by myself. Cherity is now cutting a pumpkin up with the boys and I guess I better do something outdoors with the boys otherwise I'll be depressed that I spent the whole day inside when it's so nice out. Hopefully there will be no more pages for the rest of the day.
