The last few days

As ussual, it's been chaos in the Pick house. Molly has just gotten over having had a tapeworm. Cherity had found a little quarter inch worm in Molly's stool so we took her to the vet and were given a $17.00 horsepill that we wrapped in bologna. Molly swollowed this imediately. The pill worked incredibly well, as the next morning when I brought her outside to DO her business I could plainly see the tapeworm wrapped IN her business. It was incredibly long and it was also dead fortunately.

Molly was also bitten by a larger dog the other day. This was a good learning lesson for Molly because she seams to think every dog wants to play with her, which just wasn't the case this time. She was warned with growling before it happened and she didn't heed. We were about a 1/2 block from our house and as soon as she was bit she yiped and continued to yipe like a character out of Looney Tunes all the way back to our house. She didn't have her leash on and she sprinted directly to the gate going to our backyard. At least she sees our house as her home and a safe place. She's just missing a little fur on her muzzle. She should heal up fine.

On Sunday, after church, we went to Whitewater State park but had at the last minute found out that Cherity's parents were going to be in Pepin. I sorta got in a hurry as we were walking in the trail and didn't enjoy myself as much as I could of because I didn't want us to miss getting to Pepin. Also we were dissapointed to find out that they don't allow leashLESS dogs so Molly pulled like a mush dog to smell as many things as possible as quickly as possible. Pepin was a lot of fun. I sat in on a boat ride with the boys and their grandparents and Cherity (see previous post) as we cruised around Lake Pepin and watched the other boats, sailboats, yachts, seagulls, and colorful train cars fly by. We then ate at an outdoor restaurant. Actually it was like a really big log porch with a kitchen in the back. Rick sprang for the meal (thanks Rick!) and the boys had corndogs and fries.

On Monday night we were going to take the boys for a walk in the double stroller which is hard because Owen weighs about 38 pounds and Sebastion is about 28 pounds and the stroller isn't easy to push but we were on a mission to put them to sleep. That didn't happen because a co-worker of mine called and asked if we wanted to take a walk out @ deer park along with them and their dogs. We decided to do that instead. The boys and Molly all had fun walking on the trails. Owen was so over-tired that I wouldn't have been suprised to see his head start to spin in circles. He was speaking in tongues and flopping around like a fish. I actually had to stop the car on the way home to calm him down.

Last night we went to the library and got a bunch of movies and books. I got a bunch of books by the guy who wrote "Jumanji" and "Polar Express". I read one of his books about a boy who littered and didn't seperate his recyclables and then had a dream about the future and what it was going to be like. It was ok. I've got two more of his books to read Owen yet.

This coming weekend, Andy and Rhonda may come down. That should be fun.
