First Week with Molly.

It has been about a week with the puppy and I don't think I've watched any TV since Cherity and the kids got back to see Molly. I've been waking up every morning with Molly @ around 6:00 to take her for a walk and to run her down by the river. When I'm on the trail I take off her leash and she never gets further than 50 yards from me and ussually is within 20 feet unless I'm throwing a stick for her to retrieve. So she's pretty good at following. The training is a little slow because she's so excited to play that she has a hard time sitting still, UNLESS I'm holding a treat in front of her nose. Then she sits and waits very attentively. I've been skimming through a book by the NEW SKETE MONKS. Apparently these Monks raise German Shepards and train all sorts of dogs. Good book so far. I'm sure this is all very boring so I'll shut up about the dog now. It is a lot of fun though. Keeps you busy. She does nip a little bit but just in play. Both boys have been victim to this but still enjoy her presence. Posted by Picasa
