Andy and Rhonda are coming down this weekend from Belle Plaine. Should be fun. I think we'll do some fishing and who knows what else. Should have some pictures.
I was going to go out on the river with a co-worker's husband (Kenny) and fish on his parent's pontoon with some of his friends. Their were tornado warnings so we just stayed at the boat club and fished from the docs and ate pizza. Kenny and his buddy had these little bells that you can hook to the end of your pole so you don't have to pay attention to them and if you get a bite you can run over to your pole and pull whatever is on the other end. I guess you can get these things at Fleet Farm. This might be a good idea for Owen since he doesn't always want to hold on to his pole and he never notices when the bobber dissapears. Anyway, it's cool for lazy fishing. We didn't catch much except for some small panfish. That's ok. We ate pizza and watched the skies fireworks and left early because it looked like it might get more nasty than it already was. Just before we left we spotted someone in a canoe going up stream on the Miss. Crazy, but they pretty much had the whole river to themselves and I think it ended up just threatening to be bad out. I don't think it actually rained until it was dark out.
