Despite being totally sick this weekend I had a pretty good time. We went down to Platteville because Heather was coming from Columbus to suprise Adam by showing up and participating in a race/walk that he and Desha's store was sponsoring. They had 94 entrants and raised $1200 dollars for charity. It was a good time. Heather having come up also brought Lee, Jon, and Bethany up too so there was a lot of family there. One funny thing. Heather showed us all how if you pour a pack of mentos in to a two liter of diet pepsi or coke, the sode explodes out of the bottle. I took some footage of it with my digital camera but I'm not sure how to blog it. I know I can get it on email. I'll have to try and figure that out.

I'm feeling much better now. The stomach flu is pretty much totally gone and I still have a sinus thing that seems to be getting better too but is definitely still there and probably will be for a while.

It's funny, there wasn't a thing about the weekend that disapointed me which was pleasantly suprising. (I'm easily disapointed :) I guess maybe being sick is a good thing. It takes away any expectation of personal satisfaction, so when you get some you cherish it. So, being sick is... a good thing...? Maybe for me, but for everyone else, I'm sure I seemed like a zombie.

Cherity is heading down to Platteville on Monday (7/31) so Owen can go to VBS and also because her sister Robin is due to give birth to her second boy on the 1st or thereabouts, so I'll have the house and my time to myself for the week.

I took the boys fishing. The large mouth were biting pretty good and they are starting to get bigger too. Still not worth keeping. They were all about 12" long. Owen pulled in a couple and threw back about 3. I think I need to get him a different rod. He's got this colorful snoopy type rod/reel and since it's a kiddie version it's not made very well and it's hard to reel in and I think he looses interest in it. That, and it's fun to play in the sand and explore the woods and weeds and whatever else is around him. Sebastian just explores since he's too young to fish. That, and he poops and pees in his underwear. Still working on that potty training thing. I wasn't prepared for the poop part, but fortunately he pooped just before we decided to leave... I think. I'm not sure he would have told me though due to a fear of having to go home.
