Feeling pretty good.

It's like 42 degrees out and it's Dec. 22nd. I had to run out to my car to check to make sure I locked it. The boy's Christmas presents are in back and I'm parked in public parking. I'd say it was a wasted trip but, because I had locked it, but it was so nice out I didn't mind. Anyway, I ran 30 minutes @ 7:19 pace for 4.09 miles. My body seems to be handling the first week pretty good. If it's nice out tommorow morning, I 'm going to run around the big half of the lake. That should be a solid 5 miles. And if I do that I'll have 32.5 miles in for the week. Only 5 of which would actually be road miles. Starting up this abruptly may not be the best but I've been feeling pretty ok. My legs have definitely been sore but I haven't been feeling dead tired throughout the day. The first couple of days maybe but the last couple haven't been that bad. Which brings me to the thought again of how much should I increase per week from this points, considering I just went from 3 months of not running to running 30 miles in a week? AND what do I do to keep myself motivated to keep running the miles i.e. what races do I plan for in the future? I also wonder if my body is any shape from training that was done 3 months ago? This week has really gone better than expected so far, especially since I started to lift weights again too.

On another note I think I need to get some fenders for my bike. The wet weather makes it look like I soiled my dress pants after I get off of my bike. (That's why I biked this morning, but drove this afternoon). Fenders would look dorky but I guess I'd be willing to risk dorkiness for a dry tush and clean pants. Well I might be blogging again later today. We'll see.
